Ms. Peters is senior vice president of Transportation and Logistics for Marathon Petroleum Company LLC. In this capacity, she oversees the Company's Terminal, Transport & Marine organization, Marathon Pipe Line LLC operations, Marketing & Transportation Engineering and the company's Product Quality organization. She joined Marathon in January 1979 and was appointed to her current position in January 2010. Prior to her current position, she was senior vice president of Marketing. 

In January 1998, Ms. Peters was named president, Marathon Ashland Pipe Line LLC* headquartered in Findlay, Ohio. In November 1996, she was named president of Marathon Pipe Line Company in Findlay. In 1993, Ms. Peters was appointed manager, asphalt & heavy oil in Southfield, Michigan. In 1991, she assumed the duties of manager, Northern District asphalt sales, wholesale marketing in Southfield, Michigan.

Ms. Peters was named manager of advertising in 1988. In 1986, she became supervisor, Midwest products distribution. She was assigned to operations planning as an analyst, and to retail marketing as a staff assistant in 1984. In 1980, she moved to marketing operations and held a number of positions in products distribution, supply analysis and products supply. Ms. Peters joined Marathon in 1979 as an associate financial analyst in Findlay, Ohio.

She graduated from Indiana University, Indiana, in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in finance. She received an MBA from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, in 1986 while working for Marathon.

In 2001, Ms. Peters attended the 23rd Oxford energy seminar held in Oxford, United Kingdom. She attended the Penn State, Pennsylvania, executive management program in 1998.

Ms. Peters serves as Chairman of the Owner Representatives Board of the Louisiana
Offshore Oil Port (LOOP LLC). She has served as the chairperson for the General Committee on Marketing for the American Petroleum Institute and on the Senior Security Policy group. In addition, Ms. Peters served as past president of the Findlay YMCA Administrative Board of Trustees and as a board member for eight years.
