Steve D. L. Reynish

Steve Reynish is president of Marathon Oil Canada Corporation. He joined Marathon and was appointed to his current position in October 2007.

Before joining Marathon, Mr. Reynish was executive vice president and chief operating officer for Western Oil Sands Inc. Prior to this role, he was chief operating officer of Albian Sands Energy Inc. during the start-up and successful ramp-up to full production of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project's Muskeg River Mine. Mr. Reynish has also held senior positions with Anglo American plc in Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia. Mr. Reynish is an international engineer with a proven track record in developing and managing large-scale operations.

Mr. Reynish holds a master's degree in mining engineering and a master's of business administration degree. He has completed post-graduate studies at IMD in Switzerland and at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

He has been a board member of the Alberta Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society and Foundation (STARS) since 2004 and is a member of the board of governors of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP).
