Upstream Technology (UTech) is Marathon’s central organization responsible for developing and applying technologies to maximize the value of our global assets. UTech is also challenged to develop new technologies that we can leverage toward new resource capture.
The group focuses upon solving Marathon’s toughest technical challenges, especially through fully integrated solutions. Emphasis upon integration insures all technical disciplines, associated parties and data types are incorporated into final solutions. This model is critical to providing fit-for-purpose solutions to ever-more challenging reservoirs (e.g., unconventional resource plays).
