RESPONSIBILITIES

Information Technology Services (ITS) is where business looks for tomorrow's competitive advantage. In today's fast-paced, ever-changing business environment, ITS plays an integral role in providing a variety of solutions to meet business needs. ITS works with all business units to deliver efficient and effective solutions, implementing current technology while proactively planning for the needs of tomorrow. With an in-depth understanding of business and technology, ITS employees are uniquely positioned to deliver significant advantages for the company.

ITS support is organized into two broad areas, Software Application Support and limited Infrastructure Services Support. Each support area emphasizes different skills. Roles exist for application developers, application integrators and systems analysts. Technical specialist positions exist for hardware and software support, only at our refineries and database design and development. Renewed emphasis is being placed on project management skills and use of our in-house project management process along with building effective relationships with our sourcing partners.

As a major integrated oil company, ITS supports business processes that include the supply and transportation of crude oil and other feedstocks necessary to run our refineries on a daily basis. ITS is responsible for developing and maintaining the refined product business processes used to operate our barges, pipelines, railcars, terminals, and each of our refineries located in Canton, Ohio; Catlettsburg, Kentucky; Detroit, Michigan; Garyville, Louisiana; Robinson, Illinois; St. Paul Park, Minnesota; and Texas City, Texas. ITS supports the applications used to manage our wholesale and retail marketing systems, product pricing and accounting systems, e-Commerce, and the SAP Human Resources module.
