Employees and contractors at our Brae platform add profitable production from the North Sea. Other core regions include the U.S., Canada and Equatorial Guinea.

Marathon has been exploring for, and developing hydrocarbons in Alaska for more than 55 years, with development activities focused on natural gas in the Cook Inlet region.
The Company has operated and non-operated interests in 10 fields in Alaska and ranks as one of the largest gas producers.
Complementing the natural gas production operations, Marathon operates natural gas storage and a first-class facility for handling drilling and production solids. In 2010, Marathon drilled two production wells in the Cook Inlet region in the Ninilchik Field, and as a non-operated majority interest owner also participated in two production wells in the McArthur River Field. These wells target the Grayling Gas Sands, Tyonek and Beluga reservoirs.
Marathon’s commitment to the community is deeply rooted in our core values. Our employee-run Books for Bioko program collects supplies for schools in Equatorial Guinea.
