Ashley Robertson is a very hands-on educator. Her students created a school podcast last year and they produce new podcasts every week. The podcasts focused on upcoming school events, current events and facts about different countries. Each episode featured new students and content. The students across the building loved listening to them at the end of each week.

Ashley felt that this would be a good way to get students to use more technology as well as pulling out the creative sides in her students. She also incorporated several coding programs within her classroom that the students absolutely fell in love with. On top of all of that she kept up with entering kids for google classroom accounts, fixed their smart TVs when needed, and was willing to help out other 5th grade teachers with any concepts they needed her to focus on.
